BAFTA 2015 – The Nominations

The nominations for this year’s BAFTAs have been announced. Leading the pack with 11 nominations is Wes Anderson’s hilarious The Grand Budapest Hotel, a real surprised considering the film was released last spring. The Stephen Hawking film, The Theory Of Everything and the brilliant Birdman, starring Michael Keaton, follow with ten nominations and the Alan Turing drama, The Imitation game, has nine.

As normal, there were some real surprises, mainly in those not nominated. Timothy Spall, the star of Mr Turner, was almost a sure thing, yet he doesn’t appear on the list and another omission is Steve Carell for Foxcatcher.

The full list is below. The winners will be announced on Sunday 8th February.
